One of my three button quail hens has been laying large, oblong eggs with large dark thin spots on the shell that leak. She's been like this for a few weeks, sadly. I've already checked for mites, and everyone is okay. She is on the same diet (24% game bird protein, crushed oyster shell on the side for calcium) as the other two breeding ladies. Their set ups are the same, they are all about the same age, under a year. The only noticeable difference that I see is that she is often puffed up. Otherwise active. I plan on giving her vitamins and apple cider vinegar. Any other thoughts on possible illnesses? Pic comparing her egg to the normal layers.

Every time though? I am worried about her. :(

Update: It is possible that she metabolizes less Vitamin D from her food. The POULTRY DISEASE BIBLE suggests that in turn, she doesn't absorb calcium properly. I will try a drop of Vitamin D3 softgel supplements for a week and update y'all.
