Button quail bedding help?

So i am trying a blend of bedding and i was wondering if it would work. Its Cypress mulch reptile grade with a organic garden soil mixed in. So like 25 Cypress mulch and 75 garden soil?

So, what are you trying to do? Make a bioactive enclosure?

I just use pine shavings.
Simple enough.
