Button Quail Cage Question

I'm going to make cages for my buttons and was

wondering

if the

cages have to have floor with sand,or could I make the floor out of

wire with a pan.pics would help!!!

buttons can even be housed completley on wire if you wanted to, but they arent really messy so normally people dont do that. Any kind of solid ground is perfect for htem as long as it's convieniant for you i dont see the issue with it. They dont need sand for bedding, any sort of bedding is fine well though if you can stay away from cedar and pine.

Cedar and pine have Phenol oils which have been prooven in some studies to cause respiratory problems. Aspen is the better of the pines but even it has a smell to it. I use paper towel type bedding but i also use aspen bedding when I dont have the $ for the more expensive stuff.
