I have a pair of Buttons sharing a cage with 2 Grasskeets.

Yesterday, I catch the male Button taking a bath in the seed dish for the keets! And one keet sitting on the edge of the dish patiently waiting to eat!

Then the Button jumped out and began to preen, eating the seeds that he picked out. And when he walked away, his mate followed him picking up the seeds that fell out of his feathers!

Now I'm scared! LOL!!! Dominant goober gene! Oh My! lol..

They do share a room with goobers. Hmmmmmm......
I tried to take a picture, but was laughing so hard it didn't turn out too well. Then he didn't like the flash so he never went back to the "bath"

The look on my pink birds face was priceless!

Ahem! I believe that if you start with a tibetan male over a barred rock female; as long as both have golden bantam parents: you will have a bird that is at least 85% Goober! Recessive Goober genes can be seen in some birds...as long as they have beaks and feathers.
