Button quail egg color

Hi, I know that button quail lay greenish brown eggs but can button quail lay white eggs or white speckled eggs like coturnix quail? Just wondering, replies appreciated!

I’ve seen a blue egg before.Almost all the eggs I’ve seen are speckled.

Button quail do not lay patterned eggs like coturnix. They may have some tiny dots, but they are almost always olive green to blue/green.

If you look closely there are a few in this image that look like miniature coturnix eggs.

If you mean some of the ones in the third rail, there is some similarity, but those are about the largest speckles you would see in a button egg. The olive green base colour is also not normally found in coturnix eggs.

Is she getting enough calcium? If she's a new layer, it could just be her "working out the kinks".
