Today I went to remove the eggs from my quail's as they still have chicks and switching them with my silver who is having issues with hatching (seeing if it's her sitting, or her or the males fertility), and I came across the smallest egg I've ever seen.
The egg is compared to a normal Button Quail egg, and a normal size 6 chicken egg.
I didn't realise how small they could actually be, and I must say, it's tiny! I don't know how much it weighs, as we don't have a kitchen scale, but it's got a bit of weight for it's size. My Quail still surprises me with what she can produce
The egg looks much smaller in physical observation, than it does in the picture.
