button quail good livin'

can someone tell me the outdoor environmental set up (pen, free range?, plants) that would make buttons happiest, safe and most comfortable?

you can free range a button quail for about 15 sec before it's outta sight. i have mine indoors in a cage that is 5" high so they don't bonk their heads...some here prefer a cage a little taller, so that's just my preferance. and please don't give them chicken food....there are several quality, high protein game bird foods available.

i'll let someone else chime in on the subject of greens....
