Button Quail hatch - - WE HAVE BABIES! Pics added

I have 6 babies, and possibly another one or two coming. I watched one hatch last night, it was really cool. They are SO TINY. I think temp drops hurt the other eggs because quite a few did not pip.

They are eating and drinking great. I cant believe how cute they are! I have 4 really dark ones, one yellow and one yellow with grey stripes. I wonder what they will look like in a few weeks.

There were 15 in there, but I think the power going out two days in a row may have killed some of the babies. There is another pip so I will see if there is a surprise in the morning. :>
 
Sorry to hear about your truck and your buttons that you lost. I've stopped shipping eggs for the winter otherwise I would offer you some.
 
I am sorry you lost him. Good thing he was able to leave behind his legacy. -- Post some pics! Sounds like you have a silver chick maybe?
I keep my humidity between 60-65, but it varies where you live. I keep the temp at 100 the best I can. Seems to work best over here!

Anyhow, congrats....but you better share pics.

Okay I hope you guys will tell me these dark guys are blues. I very badly want to have a blue faced male like the one I lost. He was so handsome. These guys have faint red lines on their back. Two of the dark ones have white bibs, but that does not necessarily mean they are female right??

As far as white bibs -- that usually means boy. You might have two boys then! Congrats.

Looks like you have maybe one lady blue face possibly, a red breasted (bumble bee butt) and...not 100 percent on the lighter one. A silver maybe is it...erm cinnamon??
