button quail incubating in Mini advanced incubator???

Is she getting enough calcium? I've never had an egg crack(except from the one that hatched a chick

), even though the budgies that share the aviary with my quail seem to think that any not-hidden eggs exists for the sole purpose of being played with..

I would place a dish of oyster shell, first run it in a blender to be smaller in size if its very large some brands are fine as is. Sounds like a young bird but it never hurts to add the extra calcium. You can use chicken egg shells that have been heated and the membrane removed from but the bird oyster shell is easier and its fairly cheap, Dr. Foster and Smith.com has it for 2.99 a bag. I just got two. The hens will eat this and so will the males but don't worry they will not eat too much, they are in tune with what they need. good luck.

I thinks it was broken when she stept on it wile running away when I grabbed it, and I do have oyster shell just have to grind it up. She is only 2 months.

Can anyone tell what color these three are?
Hear is male #1
Hears male#2
Female
You can tell the differences between the males hear sorry for the blurry pics.
Put some wood in. They like the places to hide and crashed some oyster shell.

I think male#2 is called "red breasted" and the other 2 are wild colored (like mine), but I'm no expert.

I'm sort of jealous that you have all those fancy colors

It's **** hard to tell 3 wild colored hens apart

But I have a secret plan to get some of the fancy colors myself

You can practically get the roos for free around here (like 1-2 dollars), so if I have any success with my breeding and get one or more hen chicks, I'll try to find a breeder that has other colors and get a few roos there, to pair up with my own hens.
The one of my hens that got broody first has just become broody again. She is in the grey flowerpot you can just see in the back behind the spruce branches in the second picture I posted and she has 9 eggs. She has been laying an egg a day there, since the 24th. I removed all eggs from her old nest on the 5th of May, so it took a bit less than a month for her to get broody again.

If you look closely at the picture, the female with the 2 red breasted males has a bold patch on her neck, a sign she is being mounted too much. 1 male is more than enough to keep with a female. I am glad to hear the males aren't fighting at least.

I was worried about what you said about my female and I took a close look at her and she doesn't have any balled spot all I saw with out any or a lot of feathers was her earlobe.
