Button quail late hatch

Okay when I took it out to help it I noticed that it was not cheeping at all and its mouth was opening and closing. I peeled around the outer shell in a circle where it would normally hatch and put it back in.. Anyway I'm hoping it might be able to push the rest off, if it still has not hatched in a little bit I think I'll peel the membrane off. Sound good? Or should I try to peel off the membrane now? Oh and here are some crappy pictures taken with a crappy camera lol.

Yay he hatched!! He is very little compared to rest, but seems to be doing fine! Thanks for all your help everyone.

Okay the chick I helped out looks very weak and can't stand up, hes acting as if his head is to heavy to support his body. The other 2 chicks that hatched are in the brooder. The chick is struggling I tried to help him up but he just falls right back down is there anything I can do?

Leave him the incubator for 24 hours. It may take him time to get his legs since he didn't hatch naturally.
I helped one out last night that was that way. Got home today and he's doing great now.

Do not leave a button quail chick in the incubator for 24 hours. Buttons need to come out sooner than most other types of quail. If his yolk sac is absorbed remove him after 6-12 hours or as soon as he is pretty dry. Give him sugar water or go to the pet store and buy an avian liquid vitamin solution like vitasol (this would be better). There isn't much you can do beyond that. Sometimes they make it sometimes they don't.

Hatching is our good man Darwin's first test for these birds. I don't help hatch anymore or recommend it because i noticed a high mortality rate in chicks that I helped out. Often I had to euthanize them.

His condition has gone from bad to worse, he is no longer struggling to stand up and is now struggling to breathe I don't think hes going make it..

As for the other chicks, they don't seem to be eating or drinking any thing, I've tried showing them where the food and water is but all they care about is hiding in my hand when I do that. Should I just dunk there heads in it?
