Button Quail Pictures

Decided to take some pictures of my button quail since I have had them a year this month. I have two pairs and each pair lives in a 36"L x 24"W x 24"D cage. I love them and wish I could get more or at least hatch some of their eggs but I haven't convinced my boyfriend on that yet lol.

Chinchilla dust houses make nice quail houses lol.

Here is one of the cages. One chinchilla house has sand in it and the other has hay, they really like them.

Thanks and yea I love all my critters so I try to do my best for them. The guy I got them from had a bunch of them in a very small bird cage and they were missing lots of feathers and had scabby heads from jumping and hitting the roof.

Are the blue containers plastic or glass? I have been looking for something to replace the Pepsi soda box in mine...lol although the box is easy to recycle when dirty and I always have more.

They are a hard plastic. I tried a few different things for houses and these worked out well for me. We have pet rats and claim any cardboard boxes we have lol.

That's a really great idea to use the chinchilla houses. I'm thinking these would also work really well for sand baths too, so this may be on my shopping list next time I go to the pet store. You have such a nice home for your quail. Thanks so much for sharing the great photos.
