I have a few buttons that I am going to sell. What is a good price to charge for say, less than a week old, and 2-4 weeks olds, and birds that are just begining to lay? Thanks.

It also depends on your area or if your willing to ship some of the more desireable colors. Here there's no way I'd sell any button locally for $10 or more. Impossible. I sell the chicks for $3 and then after 8-10weeks when they are ready to lay sell most of the adults for $5 each. I still generally end up with some of the more common colors leftover that don't sell for months.

I ship mine and I have the curly gene, parent raised birds that tend to be good sitters and parents. I also have golden pearl males that have hen coloring all in all I put time and money into high quality birds. I do sell some birds for less and give a quality discount. I also sell there eggs
10 for 15 shipped
20 for 20 shipped
30 for 25 shipped

I hate the idea of shipping most animals and avoid it as much as possible. Locally it wouldn't matter how rare of variety or how good of quality they are they would never sell for $10+ a bird. It really depends if your willing to ship or drive long distances to meet people or if your lucky enough to have a good demand for them locally.

I have not had shipping problems and BQH showed me how to ship she had no problems.
I guess it is all in the way you market your birds there are people around here who sell for less and I have no problem selling mine local
