Hello the other night I posted about my little runt button, who seemed to have spayed legs. I tied them closer together on the first night and it seemed to correct it, well that was what I thought.
As this little guy is a bird and as we all know birds do not like to show their handicaps to their fellow birds.
This little guy is running around like crazy. Legs are in normal position, but one of his outer toes is turned under the other toe, so he is almost walking on the side of his foot.
Is there a way to try to correct this problem?
I was really wondering why when he would run up something he would flip on his side, but he kept getting straight up and going.
He is a little fighter and would like to give him every chance I can get.
Also his toes are so fine and little. Should I leave it longer until they are a bit bigger if there is a treatment?

jellybean i dont know about anyone else but in my first hatch i had one little guy in a very similar situation : had splayed legs, ( after putting him on a thicker non slip surface he fixed up) but he had a bent toes on one foot, they would half fold under when he walked. I taped a tiny circle of thin cardboard under his foot, with his toes in correct position, he was a bit unco and i helped him get to food and water to start with but sort of figured out how to get around in no time, i took it off after 24hrs and he seemed ok, only his outside toe was still bending, and the tip looked broken and black.. next day he actually pecked at his own toe until the black part came off

but hes fine now, he just has a half toe on one foot... I named him or her (still not sure

Dont know if this is how other people fix it but it mostly worked for me, maybe someone more experienced can give you some other ideas?

Thank Sonja,
Will give it a try.
I was looking at it a few minutes ago and it kind of looks dead. Floopy, though its not black yet.
I have 5 more new ones hatched over night and they will be joining the rest in a few ours when its day light.
A couple more wiggling eggs are still in the incubator.
This is the last lot I will incubate for awhile as now all 3 of my girls are sitting on eggs.
Thanks for advice.
By the way my real name is Martha.

Yes the toe was dead and dropped off sometime during the night.
It was good because his walking has improved, since it dropped off.
Also its good it dropped off, a couple of the other birds kept pecking at it all the time.
