Some of mine like to bathe in their water dish when its hot in the house (its not deep enough to drown in). Is that okay? They're pretty wet afterwards and i'm not sure if that's good for their feathers? They don't have any natural oils in their feathers or anything like that, do they?

Know nothing about quail. That said, all birds do have some oils from their oil gland just above their tails, and if they do it by choice... i dunno, I'd let them have at it!

They will be fine they are just cooling off. Mine have done it a time or too. Make sure they have dirt for a dirt bath to

Oh good. I didn't want to have to remove their water dish, they like having a water bottle and water dish.

Is it okay to put some pellets/crumbles in the water? They love fishing pellets out and eating them but I don't know if eating wet food is good for them?
