I hope that you are able to get a tuxedo. I have been breeding for a splash to become more uniform to a tux but as you know it's a lengthy process. I have hatched out 50 plus eggs from already tux lineage without a straight tux. It would be nice to have stronger gene for the Tuxedo available. I've inquired about Tux on some button quail forums but found the forums too rowdy for me so I don't really have any idea where to even begin looking for these genes. I do hope you are successful!

That is a beautiful baby!!! I had hoped to purchase some of Don's eggs and was excited cause I found a forum with such people as Jodi, Gary, and Don but that forum just wasn't for me and got off of it quickly before I was able to aquire them. I have had buttons for 20 years and met many great people through them. It is always amazing the new mutations coming out. That is going to be a great colored bird!

Two days huh? You must have been on the same one! I'm soft hearted and my intentions weren't taken as I made them there... oh well! I do hope you get a tuxedo baby! I've been breeding so much to get the splashes closer to tux that I know what you mean. Every baby is so great but it is so disappointing when you're hopes are high.
