buy chicks or grown chickens?

So chicks are still ahead but full grown chickens are trying to make a come back.

Okay. But if ,chicks were not as cute, would you still want them over grown ups?

I prefer chicks to full grown birds because I can raise them up how I want to.. but if you want to go beyond chicks, I prefer hatching eggs to buying chicks because of the sentimental value

I loved the chicks and it was great to have them...but 4 out of 7 roos...I'm in the city, so I'm not allowed roos. Pullets are better on my situation.

chicks are better because you know how old they are. hens are only good layers normaly from 2 or3 years. then for me its in the pot for them. i raise replacements every year either from breeding stock or hatcheries
