Buy Incubator, help?

I agree with the other opinions. Don't buy chinese. Your hatch rate will be so much better and your chicks don't die because of the incubator.
Brinsea is a real good brand and you get get smaller ones as well. I can buy them in german online shops. So if you can't buy them in Croatia you should be able to order from Germany. https://www.heka-brutgeraete.de/Brutgeraete/Mini-Brutmaschinen-Brinsea/ They have the best prices for Brinsea in Germany. Or you might be able to order directly from England.
If Croatia doesn't have incubators, you could also check out Bruja in Germany. Anything is better than the chinese cheap ****.

You get what you pay for. I've had Chinese cheap incubators. But because most of them are plastic, they don't hold heat at all well. Just the constant fiddle with the humidity and heat will put you off for good. Styrofoam or the thermo plastic ones are better for keeping heat and humidity. I would avoid normal plastic incubators all together.

I saw a YouTube video about the Joenel and they wrapped the thing with quilt batting and put it in a box to keep the heat steady. I have not tried that yet because it hasn't been cold enough. But I did have a batch of (shipped) eggs that I ordered and only 1 hatched out of the whole bunch. I tried it again and I hatched one (serama) chick with the membrane dried onto its wing. I can't get it off and I'm waiting till it gets a little stronger before I try to get it off with a moist gauze pad. I tried to put him with 2 broody hens to see if they would babysit for awhile and they wanted nothing to do with him despite being close or right on their hatch dates. They just don't want a weak chick I've noticed. So I put him in a brooder by himself.

I thought the Joenel would be a good choice for small clutches, because it was recommended by the guy on Sustainable Me. But I have not had good luck with it and plan to go back to the Hovabator. The egg turner is really hokey and if you don't put the top on just right, it won't work. I think that's what happened to my little Serama chick.

So, this is the trouble I have had with my Hovabator (Still air). It has really put me off the brand, as the temp is all over the place, and it's always too cold in the morning, and then if you turn the temp up, its cooking eggs by noon. I am going to try putting it in a box with some insulation panels tonight.
