Buying Chicks

Does anybody know if it's possible to buy different types of chicks in the mail? I don't want all of my hens to be the same, but it looks like they'll have to be... I want Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, AND, Plymouth Rocks. anyone?

Depending on the place you order them you can get different types. I have ordered two batches of chicks from My Pet Chicken...the first was 15 chicks and the second was 11 chicks..... I have 24 different breeds out of those 26 chicks.

Absolutely! I was checking into buying from some of hatcheries that advertise here, and I was putting an order together where I had one of one breed and a few of another. The minimums they refer to are the TOTAL birds that you order.

We just picked up 150 babies from the post office this morning. They came from Welp and look great. Wednesday hatch, all alive and well when they arrived. They seem to be nice strong birds. This was a mix-and-match lot with several varieties.

I ordered my first batch of 14 chicks from My Pet Chicken. LOVE MPC! There were 7 different breeds in that order.

My Pet Chicken is awesome! We got our chicks a little over a month ago - they are all happy & healthy little birds now! Highly recommend MPC.
