I didnt know where to put this post but, Would any of you know a place to order hay online? There arent places near me that have hay, and i'm going to need some soon.

Thanks!!!

where do you buy your chicken feed? they should have some. otherwise ask farmers or horse stables where they get theirs or could they sell you some.

Hoppy has great advise. Another source of information, if you are in the US, is to call your county extension agent. They should be in the phone book under county government or you can get their phone number online. You should have one even in a municipal area and they will know good sources.

I get mine from folks off Craigslist. Look at your area and nearby rural areas. Even in NY city, you should be able to find some in nearby rural areas.

If you're using it for bedding straw works just as well & might be easier to find. It's used for landscaping, so you can check places like Home Depot or Lowes. I've used hay in the chicken house when I ran out of straw, and personally I prefer the straw.

Thanks guys, i'm looking in on ebay a few places have barley straw, i'll probably get it there.
I have a friend in NC who brought me a bale of barley straw a few years back, i think i like the straw better, i like that yellowish color than the green dried hay like timothy. It also has more strength.

Thanks Again for your help!!
