Hello All!
So, I've been researching how high off the ground to build my poop board and haven't gotten any clear cut answers. I've also been researching how many inches my roost should be from the poop board and again haven't gotten any clear answers. I've also been researching how many inches needs to be between multiple roosts, and haven't gotten any clear answers, so I'm coming to my fellow BYC friends for some much needed sage advice! I'm needing to know how many feet out the ground my poop board needs to be, how many inches from the poop board to the roost and how many inches between multiple roosts. My poop board will be 8ft long, with two roosts, one higher than the other(although I've read that some think this is a bad idea and that the two roosts should be side by side, not one higher than the other). Thanks in advance!!!!

Nice to have bottom of nests about 18" above bedding to allow use of that floor space under them(doesn't count if your nests are mounted on outside of coop).

Roosts are best about 12" higher than nests so birds won't roost(sleep) in nests and poop in them.
Roosts minimum of 12" away from wall.

Well I don't know nothing but I really like what I did and so do my chicken girls. My roost box is on one end or my walk in 6x14 covered armored coop/run. I started the poop board just below waist high for many reasons that work well for me.
1) cleaning. I can use my little rake and pull the poop to me holding my bucket comfortable. No bending or old angels.
2) I can reach under it with a rake easy and if need be bend and get to anything.
3) I can spray the bottom of the poop board with bug spray easy.
4) if I need to remove it I can side it to me and it handles easy being at that height.
I have three roost bars. first one 11"in and 11" off the board.
Second board 11"higher, 12"on center over and on to the third like a latter.
A foot off the wall and a foot apart is what I read somewhere. Nest boxes lower than roost. Here is my board and roost. Hope it helps.

Great advice and pictures! Thanks so much!

Most poop boards are 2' with a single roost centered.
My roost is 8" above the board, keeps 'shooters' from hitting the wall instead of the board.
The higher the roost, the wider the board.
Lots of ways to do it.
Looks like @David61 has a good layout for multiple roosts.
