Buying turkey poults

I don't know anyone local top buy eggs or poults from where is the cheapest and best place to buy eggs or poults?

Cheapest is probably gonna be a local feed store or a Wilco type farming store, as for the best quality that depends on where you end up going!

I just want a few to raise meat for my family. On average how much does one pay?

If you want just for meat get the broadbreasted variety. Usually in feed and farm stores 5 to 8 dollars a piece.

If you want to keep some for eggs, incubation and replacement birds you will want heritage variety turkeys. They go for about 15 dollars and up at farm stores.

Depending on your location start looking on craigslist. It will start filling up before long with people having poults for sale. Prices can vary greatly on there.
