Buying turkey poults

If you want just for meat get the broadbreasted variety. Usually in feed and farm stores 5 to 8 dollars a piece.

If you want to keep some for eggs, incubation and replacement birds you will want heritage variety turkeys. They go for about 15 dollars and up at farm stores.

Depending on your location start looking on craigslist. It will start filling up before long with people having poults for sale. Prices can vary greatly on there.
