my first attempt at drawing a person, think it went really well Its the 11th doctor from doctor who
sorry its hard to see, my scanner doesn't pick up small details and shading well :/

While I'm here, this is just some of the stuff I've done recently. I'm starting to get back into the swing of drawing as much as possible, so I haven't scanned/taken a picture of all of my newer stuff.

You shading is incredible and the highlighting. I am still trying to figure it out.. so I do very little with mine in that department.

Well thank you! I really appreciate that. Your drawings are really fantastic, you have such a grasp for the anatomy of the human face. I have so much trouble with getting the dimensions correct, such as the eye-width and spacing, the jawline, the lips, etc. I make up for it with my shading, which isn't even all that fantastic but whatever. I really look towards your drawings whenever you post them because I hope that maybe they'll give me an idea of how to draw human faces better, which probably doesn't make sense lol.

I many times use chic's pics for ref... But I have been doing more freestyle (AKA) no ref..But I did use a pic for the nose LOL

I hate drawing noses. Ugh. I never get them right even WITH a reference...

Really good, and I mean it. You seem to have a good idea of what you're drawing, which is very helpful when you're not using a reference pic.
