That’s true! I never thought of it like that before! I like that cause I always get annoyed if I’m close but don’t reach it. Yesterday I was so close to 10K so I went out to get it but then I was like well now I’m so close to this one and now this and ended up doing like a mile and a half at 10:30 :lau :th

There have been so many days that I have been within 1000 steps or less of 10,000 at 11:00 pm, but I am so exhausted from the day that I just have to let it go. I tried those days and it just didn't happen. I know I make up for it on other days. LOL!

This is an excellent idea! Thank you! I don’t really cook very much so maybe that’s part of the problem. It’s been so hot lately too which doesn’t help. I’ve been eating leftover chicken and veggie tray veggies the last few days and it’s getting super old eating the same exact meal every day :lau :th

What kind of foods do you like? Do you like pineapple or mushrooms? Tuna or artichokes? I have a couple recipes I found that aren't too hard to make. Simple smoothies are a great way to get some fruit in and help with the sweet cravings.

That makes sense!! I’ve occasionally let it go on but if I feel like it I’ll go lol except usually I go at like 9 or maybe 930 not 10 or 11 :lau

I think I’m just a big obsessive too though sometimes about hitting the stats. :hide

I like a lot of stuff but at the same time can be somewhat picky if that makes sense? :lau I love pineapple and I’ve only ever eaten tuna from a can. :hide I didn’t used to be big on mushrooms but now I’ll eat it sometimes (I love meatloaf and it’s often on there lol) so I’m willing to try it. Never had artichoke. :hide I would love some recipes though if you have any. I actually love cooking once I do it but it’s just doing it that’s the hard part :lau 🙈 and yeah I think I’m gonna start making smoothies again! I just got some oat milk yesterday so I’m excited haha

I know... it's a pain. I have some of that, too. I'd forgotten. Do you think it helps you? My right hip socket was deteriorating 15 years ago according to an x-ray, so... prolly wouldn't help me with that, regardless. I was lugging a 330 ft roll of 47" high field fence down the row (not carrying--more like skootching), but since then my hip's been really touchy. Hopefully it will go away soon.

If I stay on top of the supplement and take it every day, I do feel a lot better! I was a dance major in college - mine is old dance injuries from college flaring up. Slightly dislocated knee caps = stretched ligaments and tendons = knee pain forever. :(

Yeah, It's really not worth it sometimes. I get obsessive about it too, sometimes. Just could not do it yesterday.

It's okay to obsess on hitting your goal, Kdogg. If it helps you with staying consistent, it's a useful thing. If it compels you to reinjure or aggravate an injury, that's something else. You keep up that compulsion for now. It's your friend. 10K isn't overdoing for a young, healthy person like yourself.

Go for it! You actually need that to help keep you feeling good. Enhances your mood, keeps down headaches and other pain from tension and inactivity... The human body was not created to be static. It works better when regularly and thoroughly used every day. As for the sweets, you get so used to eating real, good food that after a while you no longer think about them except very rarely. Stay on the move and you'll find your cravings don't surface nearly as much.

I will go and find it. :love

Ouch! my knees are killing me here lately. I really need to start taking my collagen supplement again. I can't have it by itself though as it tastes nasty - have to mix it into a shake with the blender....and I have been running short on time to make a shake and get the blender washed before I have to go get to work lately.
I like this one I got from Dr Axe a while ago that’s tasteless and odorless and it mixes right into coffee and stuff.

Thank you! You’re probably right! I just wish I would go for more walks throughout the day and that sort of thing instead of sitting then suddenly realized I havent walked enough at night, you know? 😂🤣🙈🙈

But yeah, I definitely need to start moving again. I felt way better when I did. And hopefully I’ll stop wanting the bad stuff too. I actually haven’t been wanting it as much lately but it’s like I hadn’t had any ice cream in a while so I guess my body said “okay that’s enough of that” 😂🤣🙈🙈🙈

One of my faves: Flatout Pizzas. I buy the Flatout pizza crusts and follow the instructions on the back of the package. I love mushrooms, so usually just make a mushroom pizza - only a couple tablespoons of sauce, tons of mushrooms, and a little bit of cheese. You can do any ingredients though - just keep portion size of meat and cheese in check.
