middle ds is like that.....we have to check his car routinely and make him take it in for oil changes etc. but oldest keeps close eye on his......he actually checked his oil and cleaned the oil cap yesterday.
I take mine in for the scheduled check ups, etc. but don’t really check it in between but I figure it’s fine because it’s new and a lease and has the lights plus it goes in fairly often because of the schedule.
i can’t have cats because everyone but me is severely allergic.....we had the neighborhood cat visit our yard and want lovin’ and mr muddy allergies flared up within 24 hours.....2 DS had to have surgery for cat scratch fever when they were 4 and 5. no cats for me since!!
My kids love cats. We wanted to adopt a dog once and went to the pound. They got so scared from all the dogs barking that they hated the pound but were happy petting a cat.
For the longest they wanted a cat. I may still start to bug the hubby to get one in a year or two
Long story short, we rescued neither canine nor feline. We ended up finding a GSD/Lab mix puppy for free online and now she’s 9 months old!
This was back in October. They have collars now since I’m scared people will think they’re strays.

And I totally get their fear! Most kennels are ridiculously loud with all the barking!! I’m not scared of dogs or anything but it does drive me batty and if I’m in there too long, would probably give me a headache. so I get being scared!!!
My husband decided to feed them some large leftover meatballs the other day and he said our old dog understood to chew and eat slowly.
This oaf, on the other hand, would swallow them whole, choke, throw it up whole, then eat it little by little. She did that for each one she was given.
The meatballs were meant for meatball subs so they were a bit larger than golf balls or around that size I can’t remember.
