jeanmarie aka sewincircle to the BYC Crochet Club!!! we are glad to have you with us, we are all a bunch of crazy chickens, Yarn, crafts and crochet Nuts here, but you don't have to own chickens to be apart of this crazy club lol! we are just slowing down from the fall square swap and are working on odds and ends projects and chatting away until the spring swap starts, sign-ups are open now though if you would like to join, I am planning an up coming amigurumi swap after the holidays, but don't feel obligated to join, as you don't have to, we would more than love to have you just be apart of this crazy fun lovin thread, SO please chat and get to know all of us and tell us a little about yourself and all the things you like to do and crochet. well gals sounds like everyone is up and about and going outside, Not me I am going to stay inside in front of the heater with kids on top of me, keeping me warm.

well I do have a little bad news, blaylees little bunny Monkey passed on last night, not sure why but she was gone by the time I went out there this morning to give the hens some warm water to drink, (spoiled hens) so I laid her to rest under the big oak in the back yard. And blaylee has said her goodbyes and has asked for another bunny but we will just have to see.

Now on another note and upbeat, we are getting two new puppies so that will help. well I must go get lunch made so I will talk to ya'll a bit later. Maw.

Here goes Leepsy had a chicken attack last week, the babies made it. Maw is working on repairing the closet from water damamge but squares were safe and going out

she is also looking for those that want to do an Amigurami swap.

when I found it I had been looking for a while. That is what I am doing with my squares. What do ya think? I will post a photo when I get it done.

I have been working on my SS and Zoe's afghan. and tonight I have some noodles to be making, I didn't get them made before got interupted. But have to have them for tomarrow.

Love the new folks in this thread!!! Welcome JeanMarie!!!! Happy to have you here!!! Maw summed it perfectly, hang out and chat, and join any of our projects that interest you! Theme: "Anything Goes" Feel free to experiment and challenge your skills for this swap! Hexagons, Circles, Squares, Triangles, or "Other" crocheted shapes are all welcomed!! (No amigurumi in this swap.)

Color: Any! Mix it up or stay the same, up to you!

Size: 6" minimum - 12" maximum. Try to be consistent though, for example, all of your squares should be pretty near the same size, all of your circles should be pretty near the same size....

Pattern: Any! Feel free to mix up your patterns and make every square different or every hexagon different, or all the same, up to you!

Number: As many as there are participants in the swap.

Dates: Chat and gab and get to know one another in this thread. Post as often as you like! Official sign-up opens on February 1, 2009 and Closes on March 1, 2009. All items are due to me no later than May 1, 2009.

New folks are encouraged to visit with us here in this thread and post and get to know us! Chickens are not required, in fact several members of this group are not chicken owners! Hey ladies

Hope everyone is well...again I can't catch up, but I just wanted to do a fly by posting, and say hey! I am working on a crocheted snowflake right now made with crochet thread, and I haven't worked with thread or hooks that small in years, and I have to say that it is frustrating in the least. I really hope that I can get the hang of it eventually.
I just like to get the pattern down and go!!

This stuff is so small though, and my fingers don't seem to be as nimble as they used to be

I was looking at hooks yesterday, and I don't think I can go remotely small ! Them things get super tiny. Good luck okiemom.

Well since we're all a great little family, does that make our SS more like secret sisters? lol

Think I need to sit here with a pad of paper and pen, keeping tabs on everyone, sometimes I get a lil confused on who all did the what alls. lol And lets omit the wherealls, bad things happen in the wherealls. lol

to JeanMarie! I think I may be the ONLY one on here that doesn't crochet! If I don't watch out, I'll be doing that too!

I saw a blip on here about those Amigurimi (sp?) things.

OMG, they are so darn cute! I didn't know what they were until reading about it here, but I saw something like that on Etsy (no surprise there) awhile back and have that particular seller in my faves. She made little veggies and fruits like that! They were so stinkin' cute. She sold the patterns too!

Well, got our new BYC hoodies today, off to wal-mart with it! Gotta get flour and sugar for my starter dough I got from Ms. Prissy.
Never used the mail so much in my life til we got the computer. Funny, thought they said with the internet, we would make mail obsulete?
