OK for anyone that was interested this is how I marked my granny squares for the last swap.

I just printed a contact page of my avatar w/ 4 pics across and 6 rows of pics, so it filled the page w/ 24 pics.

Then I just cut the pic w/ decorative edge scissors, punched a hole in the corner of the pic, and tied it to the corner of the granny square. WaaaLaaaa..instant marker. Very quick & easy! I'm not sure how I'll mark them for the Fall SWAP.

Here's a few of my Sunflower Granny Squares. I finally figured out how to read the dang crochet lingo. Boy, I was really hating that pattern for a while. The pattern made a 4" square, so I just added a few more rounds to make it 6".
I don't like the blue yarn b/c it's thinner and curls up, so I may go out and buy a heavier weighted one to use for the swap.

Would you mind sharing where you got the Sunflower block pattern? I know I've asked this and looked back through the thread and I'm probably just blind and can't find it.

Id's love to share it. I got it out of a pattern book by Leisure Arts called 99 Granny Squares To Crochet. It's designed by Katherine Satterfield.

LOL!!! Alot of CHATTER and hookin goin on!! So funny!!! If you all are buying books, look at half.com and do a search for crochet..cheapest books I know of on the web..bet that book if on there with the sunflower pattern in it..alot of the Vanna White books...have a look, I buy alot of books from there. Steph def. gets the bad girl/get 'em hookin award!!!! LOL!!! Gotta go..have a great chatty day ya'll!!! Friday!!!!!

Morning everyone!!! Hi Kris!! I worked on squares a bit last night....might end up having to make more for the swap here..thinking about making the bright colored ones into an afghan for my daughter for for new apartment she will have for college this fall! We race tonight and I usually get alot done waiting for our event there so I'll get started on new ones tonight, lol!! Race track hooker and square makin fool here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's cool Amy! I go through spells buying alot of books from there..normally CROCHET books, lol!!

Worked on squares at the track yesterday probably the ones I will make into an afghan for my daughter's first apartment...then I'll be working on my swap squares again
