The items in you gal's stores are great. I really like those hats, too. The colors are perfect.

I've had a bad week. A few days ago the neighbor's dogs, 2 Labs and a mutt, tore into one of my chicken yards and killed almost all of my smaller chickens. The dogs are almost 100 lbs so they had no trouble getting through the fence. I have no Seramas, Silkies, Tournais, or Phoenix left. All 30 were either killed or maimed. I have one small hen and 2 small roosters left. The hen is inside and although I thought she would die she has started putting some weight on her leg now so I am hopeful she will make it. I have put so much time and energy and love into those little ones it just breaks my heart to lose them like that and to know some of them suffered and all of them were terrified. The neighobor was sorry but this was the second time and the first time, all I asked of him was that he keep the dogs secured. I lost ten that time and never dreamed it would happen again. I don't know if I will try to start over with the little ones or not. But they are so precious.

Sorry to bug y'all with my tale of woe but thanks for "listening".

Leepsy! Good to hear from you, but SOOO sorry about your loss.

I am sure those dogs could be reported somehow, esp after you asked the guy to keep them out of your yard.

As far a me, no sign of my chicks...I am starting to get a real doom and gloom feeling about this, gals....

It's 18 degrees here, right now...just how much more can those little fuzz butts take??? I don't recommend ordering from McMurray, they are way way too vague about when/how they ship their chicks and I am going to have to raise some heck to get them to find out when mine shipped. I don't care if they say wed - sat of whatever... which day, darn it??? and give me a tracking number! *sigh* rant over.

Leepsy!!!! Girl, where have you BEEN?!!! Soooo nice to have you back!!! Please don't stay away so long!!!

Maw, you send those things however you can and DO NOT try to refund any money, and yes I am speaking for everyone here, if you have any change leftover, you give it to your cutie pie daughter for helping, the task is an all day long one, lots of tape and boxes and trips to the post office...on and on..you more than earned it..do not send it back!!!! Sorry about the water leak..the boxes canbe recycled..just hope the yarn is NOT ruined!!! lol!! Gotta worry about the important stuff!!! Use the money to buy plastic storage bins!!!! lol!!! That's what I have in the garage, the big rubbermaid boxes. The halloween colored ones should be nearly free right now and after Christmas the red and greeen ones get really cheap..no water or mice worries with those. Thanks for organizing this swap and doing an awesome job at it !!! You can rest a bit until next fall then you can do it all over again, lol!!!!

When ya'll start getting your Secret Santa boxes, can you post that you got it, even if you don't open it? I sent that ornament swap (from the main forum) box off two weeks ago, made a Christmas spider and 4 small matching ornaments..had to pm the person to see if they even got it and then they were very matter of fact about having gotten it...I guess I would never have known they got it if I hadn't asked!! So just note that you have received your box whenever you get it, thanks!

Shanah, someone on the forum had received a flat stanley from a second grade class in Iowa and asked me if they could forward him on to me. He has a paper suitcase you sign stating where he has been and then you send him on. I sent him to Maw so he could travel across the country. I sent the second grade class 20 safety stickers from my work and expalined a bit about his visit with me so they would know what he was up to. So, no, it wasn't really BYC related at all, just someone's elementary school project. Thank you Jess for sending him on!!

Gonna have to check that chickcam of Mommahens!!! Sounds cool!!!

Well, I have a zillion things on my list to do today so better get started, we have really cold weather too, windy and brrrr cold for us!! And Maw..bless your heart, I would be homicidal too if my husband was under foot every day for a month!!!!

Color: Any! Mix it up or stay the same, up to you!

Size: 6" minimum - 12" maximum. Try to be consistent though, for example, all of your squares should be pretty near the same size, all of your circles should be pretty near the same size....

Pattern: Any! Feel free to mix up your patterns and make every square different or every hexagon different, or all the same, up to you!

Number: As many as there are participants in the swap.

Maw, hope your Critter Swap is a huge success!!!! I'll cheerlead for that one, not too much into the amig...heck I can't remember how to spell the dang word!!!..the critter making!!!! Where is Guitarists?! She is really good at it and seems the Queen had taught herself too. I know Shanah made my very lucky Ms. Vroom so there are alot of folks on this thread that can make those critters. Give Jess your support folks!!

Freezin fannies today gals. Supposed to be 24 by 8 am this morning. Yeah, and I'm supposed to be at Alyssa's school for a meeting about her school speech classes at 9am. To make it much better, hehehe I forgot to wash my hair last nite. Guess I'm going with the wonderful frozen follicle hairstyle. lmaooo

well its cold here but I don't know how cold, just that my coffee won't stay hot, I have to keep reheating it! well got the water cleaned up and will be replacing the floor and wall today, putting tile down so less of a replace next time, replacing the pipes all the way to the ground. and putting some shower walls type stuff up over the walls and ceiling, so hopefully that will help. I do keep all of the important stuff in plastic storage tubs so that it doesmn't get ruined, like everyones squares, I did have them in the boxes but decided that I would put them in giant ziplock bags and pu them in a storage tub until I had recieved everyones, so they were safe and weren't even in the closet. but I had all those boxes decorated up real nice for christmas with stickers and bow and such and that gift paper tissue stuff and now there all ruined.

Oh well at least the squares are safe.

all the packing must have worn out little bit as she is still asleep. LOL she really had fun helping. although she kept trying to stuff some of her toys in the boxs to send along with the squares. so if anyone ends up with some little girls toys in there thats blaylees present to ya'll LOL!!!. well ladies I am frose to I am going to go stand in front of the heater for a while so I will talk to ya'll later, Maw.
