Yes we visit each other. She's about 30 miles north of me.

About your horse, are you using a prop? Sketch the main points in stick formation, Sticks and circles, very lightly so they are easy to blend out, erase. Some times its good to use a small ruler for eye measuring points, then you get the dimensions/balance right in figures. Scale... That's what I mean. I think though you've got the just of it on the horse, but it looks like you are drawing on a table... Can you use an easel? Rig one so your paper is is in front of you instead of laying flat? I find that when I am drawing on a flat surface, things can become elongated, and you don't notice until you stand them up... You know what I mean? Other than that, I like it. Within you is a great sketcher emerging.

Yeah, I do know what you mean, and you must be a really good artist, because I am drawing on a table. Thank you for the helpful post and the comment. I am going to add shading and details. I used a ruler to make sure that the legs are at the same length. I want to get as good as I can, which is why I practice all the time. I draw almost every day, hoping to get as good as artists like yourself. All help is appreciated! Thanks.
