SO does anyone know any tricks I can learn? Like how to you use colored pencils smoothly? Especially with blending, they don't seem to erase very well. I still get line strokes. I have been using my computer to help with it, but its not enough. I used to draw all the time, but go too busy for like........ ten+ years. I just decided to start up again and am improving and finding new tricks. Here's my latest. I am using them as illustrations.

I stink at hands. I find tracing helps improve my drawing, getting a feel for the strokes. One cool thing, it since I started drawing My little girl got more interested and she is actually really good and recreating what she sees!

With the colouring, just start off shading very smoothly the colours and when you want a certain area to be darker, just go over the same spot pretty lightly so you don't accidentally go too dark. Good job!!

Thanks! it just the lines that drive me nuts, I wish the colored pencils would blend like charcoal of lead pencil.
