His legs look a little spindly. The thigh of his back leg is also a little... crooked, if that's the right word. And this is just me, but I think the upper half of his muzzle could be a bit smaller.
it okay. *hugs* just stop comparing yourself to others. That will help and programming takes time to figure out. I am still learning mine. But I have been working with computer progras longer than you have. You can also read the manuals ot find on-line tutorials.Just the seemingly simple things I want in life that are just so far from me... *art vent*
I have no problem with MS Paint. It is what has brought out the artistic side of me most. But what I really want is to expand my talents, see how far they can go. But I cant get that far. I am stuck at a roadblock--lack of skills. I have Photoshop CS2. The problem is, I have tried and tried and tried to work with it, and to no avail. I cant do it. My latest piece is horribly ugly! And that just discourages me further.
I face that I have no idea what I'm doing. I see other people, they can use CS2 just fine and the results are like cartoon masterpieces! I'm sure they are happy... But I cant figure out how they do it.Maybe digital art isn't for me, I dunno... All I know is that everyone else seems quite able to do it, whereas me... I have no idea...![]()
Oh well...Thanks for listening... I just needed to get that off of my chest.![]()
For one cartoon proportions don't have to be perfect but slightly narrow the dogs left ear. Fatten the hips on the back a tad and give him a fourth leg.

x2. I know it seems awfully strange to compare writing with pixel art, but just hear me out. I started writing years ago, and let me tell you, I was awful. The stories weren't even stories, and there was no foreshadowing, or tension. But, as much as my awful writing frustrated me, I never gave up. It takes time to get better, but you will.I've started songwriting lately, and needless to say, my songs are cringe worthy. But I can't stop, especially considering the fact that I want to be a professional songwriter one day. From what I've seen of your work, it's amazing and my art pales in comparison, haha.
You're great, Chickenfan, and I promise you will only get better.![]()
Quote: The back leg bothered me, too. I think you nailed it. As for the spindliness, I was kinda going for that look. And the muzzle... Oh that muzzle! D8 I redrew that thing wayyyyyy too many times! And finally just gave up. Meh. It was just a test, anyways. And I guess you cant tell it's a she?I didn't make it obvious she was a she...![]()
