I'm not the best at drawing but I found an amazing app called Sketch Club. It costs a little but it includes a community that is actually very kind and helpful that you can upload pictures to. It also includes classes and party nights (lol) and I've never come across anyone disrespectful to others. You can also have your pictures rated (mature or for everyone). So now that I'm done with advertising, you can find me on there as EnderEcho

It has a lot of brushes. You can download them and make your own too.
Also, different kinds of canvases are available, pretty much any dimensions you would like and in retina if you want. Max layers for regular is I think 20-30 and for retina 10-15 I believe. Any color you want is available and you can include reference photos while drawing from your camera roll.
They are pretty picky about copying photos, so make sure you give credit
