No, we don't have a Micheals. At least not here. We just have Lincraft(crappy but cheap) and Spotlight(good but expensive). I'll have to check at Spotlight

Oh,  I see. Since you live in Australia I can't really recommend any store to find tortillions at, sorry. I hope you can find one though, I'm not joking when I say that it will improve your art a lot. I'd die if I didn't have my tortillions.

Here is your first lesson in using tortillions Nix! I hope this helps...

First, you start out with a pencil:


And tortillion:


A good thing to start out with is to just take the pencil and make straight, solid lines on the paper. Then, with the tortillion, go over it just like you did with the pencil:


Always hold the tortillion at a tilted angle:


Never like this, because it will ruin the tip:



In the end you'll get something like this:
