I had watched the first 5 movies before reading any of the books. My DGD has been hounding me to read them. I had sooo many ones in line before them. WE buy books all the time and so it takes a while to catch up.

Personally, I prefer the movies. The first book/movie follows along almost exactly, after that it all falls apart. I like some of the things in the book better than the movies and other the opposite. I learned when I was young to watch the movie first, then read the book. Otherwise, I sit there through the whole movie going, why did they cut out that??, why did they change that character?? why, why, why???

So I still have not read the last book(I kind of know about it though, thanks to peoples big mouths) I will read it after watching the movie.

We also were upset about the change in release dates. Come on! What parent in their right mind would take their kid to see that play, just because of the harry potter conection?? They shouldn't be parents. DGD was counting down the days until it came out.
