In the Brooder
Hi everyone,
I was so happy to find posts on treating respiratory problems by cafarmgirl and rooridgefarm and others from 2013. Otherwise I don't think my rooster "Lucky" would still be here. He's a 10 month old Bielefelder. I just lost 2 hens and didn't want to lose him too. The flock was a bit sickly this summer but all seem to be doing well now after treatment for mites and worms(never did see any). I even fixed a prolapsed uterus. I currently have 5 hens and 2 roosters (so far they get along). I've always been an animal lover, but had never considered chickens. My husband wanted to get chickens and I think I enjoy them more than he does. It's our first time having chickens. I'm looking forward to being a member of the BYC group! This site has been so helpful!
Thank you !
Pam
