Had a flock a few years back. Had the wonderful opportunity to have a incubator and watch chicks hatch with my teenage son, who is now 22 and serving in the Army as a combat medic.
Im a single gal who recently purchased a home in San Tan Valley, AZ. There are many more rural areas around me that have both livestock and chickens.
I just sent a memo to my hoa about having a couple of hens, so we'll see.
Im preparing to garden and have a compost bin working away, chickens would be a welcome addition. If course, i would have to work with my ankle biters but the hens could roam free for at least a few hours while they were kenneled.
