The are great. I've never had any trouble what so ever with them. Mine have never gotten sick ever, not even the calves. They'll eat stuff normal beef cows wouldn't touch. I got my first cows in 2005. And the bull in 2006. I lost my two oldest cows last year they were 18 and 23. The other three cows are 14, 10, and 4. And the bull is 15 now. They are so gentle, I can walk out into the pasture and pet all of them and they follow me everywhere licking my back pocket looking for treats. I call them up from anywhere and put every one of them in the coral and shut the gate behind them.

Are they more a meat cattle or milk?

Chore, Work "8-5", Chore, Dinner, Bed, Repeat. Its not to bad really. I've got all the chickens on auto waters and feeder that I can feed from outside their pens. It actually only takes me about 30 minutes in the morning to chore all the birds.
