OK, what is a chippy? In California it is a nickname for members of the California Highway Patrol - CHP, have to sound it out for it to makes sense.

I loved the TV show ‘CHiPs’ from the 70s and 80s! No, a chippy in Australia (and the UK) is a carpenter. We like to give everyone nicknames in Oz eg. sparkie = electrician, ambo = paramedic, firey = firefighter etc.

Thanks for doing this @LozzyR! Your early experiences with chickens was so sad, how hard it must have been to go through! I'm glad you've stuck with it. I loved getting to know you and your chickens, past and present, a bit better.
