You're so brave! Sounds like an awesome way to educate the kids, and I bet the exposure inspired some kids to go home and learn more.During the summer we had lots of on-site visits from lots of different groups or individuals. This guy would come in a van with assorted creatures and bring them in and share his knowledge and see what the kids knew. I was one of two teachers that held him. Things were different 10\15 years ago.
My DH grew up in the desert so, catching lizards and little creatures were a pastime activity but, this is my first experience with reptiles.
We haven't had them a year but, my little one "Drex" shared his snakes for "show & tell" back in December, before winter break; when the kids returned (distance learning), one of the other students went and got a snake with his dad. It was cool to see the kids making connections like that, over the computer.
