Byc minimums on pullet orders

I just got 4 chicks from chickensforbackyards.com. Their minimum order is 3. Shipping is usually $35 but I got it for free with coupon code c4by. Don't know if it I still good but I just used it last week. So, I paid almost $6 per chick (with mareks vaccine) through them...I think my total was just over $23. All 4 arrived healthy and happy yesterday. Also, I have found a few local feed stores that don't have a minimum number to buy. You might check the smaller feed stores. AND they ship out of Missouri.

I wish there were more places that sold single or pairs of hens or pullets. I'm trying to get started in Missouri but everyone wants you to buy like 6 minimum to place orders.
Wecome to BYC.
There are several hatcheries in Missouri, and some will even let you pick the chicks up at the hatchery

We just got 3 hens from a breeder in Moscow mills mo. One white rock and 2 ameraucanas. There less than a year old and already started laying.

Awesome! White Rocks were my first chickens, they were excellent layers and very friendly.
Enjoy your chickens!

Here are our first two eggs from our new hens. We were gifted the first morning after we got the hens. Is this very likely to continue and is this normal to get eggs from started hens when their new to you and your coop?
