I don't know if you are aware of it, but "Neko" is the Japanese word for cat.

Actually that's why I picked it. I love, love, LOVE cats and have a big interest in Japanese culture, language, and media

Thank you everyone for the welcomes and breed ideas. I'm 99% positive that Ink is a Barred Rock. I'm going to post the others on the What Breed thread just to be sure but Wyandottes7 is probably right. I haven't found any pictures of a production red chick so I don't know what they look like.

I find Japanese culture fascinating as well. We have a vacation scheduled for a visit to Japan in March, and we're really looking forward to it. My son-in-law, who knows his way around Japan will be our tour guide. )
