BYC Poetry Club!

This s what I do when I'm outta ideas: find a calm place, close my eyes and listen (I prefer the woods, near the creek) I let te sounds pull a poem together, and then I write what comes to me. (that chicken poem sucked, but I forced it cause it's the first time I've written about chickens, lol)

That chicken poem was honestly great! It didn't suck one bit!

For instance I was thinking about unrequited love, which ended in this poem (idk if I've posted this or not already, lol) which I won a contest with.

MY LOVE

When twilight falls on darkened halls,
And summer leaves have faded.
My love for you will shine anew,
It cannot be abated.
You shining hair, like silk so fair,
Your laugh, so lovely, as light as air.
Your eyes, like gems, so clear and bright,
My love for you, deep as the night.
Your luminous skin, as pale as milk,
Your voice so pleasant, it flows like silk.
Your heart so pure, so full of light,
Your souls is a feather, a dove in flight.
I long for your touch, yet it cannot be,
For my love shall bring you misery.

You're very talented!

The night covers me,
I listen to it song.
I listen to the mocking bird,
Mocking us all.
I listen as the wind whispers,
In a tongue I shall never understand.
I watch as the firefly dance,
Their lights shining into the night.
I look into the sky,
At the million of stars.
How I love the summer night,
How I love my country home.
The call of the coyote fill the night,
The crickets join them.
Oh, the cool summer night breeze,
That plays with my hair.
oh, how I dread the sun that comes,
Chasing the stars and moons away.
Hushing the midnight songs,
Of the night creatures.

Okay, got bored and just typed it up.
