BYC Poetry Club!

Do you have something against sad poems? You criticized mine for being "sad". Like I said, I write what I feel and maybe that's what she does too.
No, I don't. I just asked why the poem was sad. In fact sad poems are great. Happy poems are great. Just as long as the poem rhymes, has mood, and is descriptive I like it. Anyways, if I were to criticize a poem I wouldn't post; it my job on this thread is to encourage poets, not bring them down.

My hope this lost,
At a greatly cost,
Hope is near,
But it won't ever appear.

I've runaway,
On a dark shadowy day,
All I can do is pray,
That some hope can stay.

I can right a sad poem :) It maybe not be based of my current life but that doesn't make a difference in value.

FINAL LULLABY
When time calls my name,
Fear shall play its game.
All my love is lost,
Death comes at such a great cost.
When life's final shadow passes oer my head,
Fear and longing matter not to the dead.
When loves final breath away from me is taken,
My soul shall move on, my path has not shaken.
With flames of agony, and pain bitter cold,
When time over takes me, and I have grown old.
I'll breathe my last breath, I'll say my goodbyes,
When my eyes finally close, death will sing my lullaby.
