BYC / TSC. Swap, Dunnellon, FL was SAT., JUNE 26th

Judy, I think we are going to have a great turnout. Maybe not a lot of BYC'ers but TSC has been handing out flyers for the past two months and we have advertised it on Craigslist and Ocala4Sale too for the last two months. The responses we have had have been very good. Also TSC was going to put an ad in the local paper which I think they have even though I haven't seen it. There will be lots of traffic and that store is a busy store.

I don't know why there hasn't been a bigger response from the area BYC members. There is going to be a LOT of people there and if any BYC'ers have birds and other animals to sell I really think there is going to be a BIG turnout. I have had e-mails from people asking if there are going to be certain birds, rabbits, etc., and I just tell them to come over to the swap as a lot of people said they were bringing their critters big and small, horses, cows, pigs, goats, ducks, rabbits, chickens, etc. and crafts. (no yard sale items).

I went over to the store to check on how things are going over there and if there were any updates. While I was there some people came in inquiring about the swap on Saturday. The cashiers told me that they get people all day long asking about the swap, so it looks like we are going to have a great turnout. People will be bringing Polish, Seramas, EE's, Cochins, RIRs, Silkies, Phoenix, Marans, Wyandottes, and many other birds and animals. I will be there early to help set up. Hope to see lots of BYC peeps there.

UPDATE:

Here is the article from the newspaper for our Back Yard Chickens / Tractor Supply Company swap this Saturday. Hope to see a lot of the BYC peeps there. There is susposed to be a reporter showing up to report on the event.

How can I not attend now? I just wish there was a way to get the 1 pony mule and 2 miniature horses I have to sell up there. But, I won't be picking up my rig from Tallahassee for another week or so, dag nabbit anyhow. Anyone wanna trailer for me??? They're pocket sized 4 leggers, LOL.

Julie, we didn't do as far a move as you're doing, but we had three LARGE truck loads (thank goodness for the lifts on the back of the trucks) plus our truck and several car loads of stuff when we moved from St Pete to Dunnellon. We had been in our house in St Pete for 25 years and had lots of stuff. We sold our house one week after putting our sign out so we had to pack up and get stuff moved out. I'm never moving again!!!

Well trying to convince Hubby on taking me for the morning....we really really need to reduce our flock and this sounds like it's going to have a big turnout....

We will see how I'm doing tomorrow afternoon, and if I feel good, I'm going Saturday!!!

Thanks for the email, cmom! This is the first I've heard...it's been so busy and crazy here lately. I may be able to make it...not sure what I may have for sale....maybe an OEGB or two...maybe a pair of Rosecombs? I do have a beautiful cochin cock...and a small pair of cochins. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll pack some up....

We will be bringing a Light Brahma pullet, Golden Laced Cockerel, Welsummer Cockerel, Splash Maran Roo from Bev Davis, Three Key West Gypsy/Silkie/Cochin chicks and maybe the Key West Hen if we can catch her....Also may have some supplies for sale, too, not sure yet

I'm going no matter what Hubby says...we need to downsize our flock.
