I keep hearing a chirp and go to check on them. Ooof, I haven't hatched from an incubator in years and forgit how bad the waiting gets

Maya has arrived!!! She hatched sometime yesterday while I was at work. Today, due to a smell in the air, I made the decision to open the incubator and candle the ggs and discovered 3 had externally pipped and one was chirping. The others were rushed back into the bator.

The remaining 6 were clear eggs upon candling and removed. Let's go last 4!!

Woke up to intense chirping at 3a this morning and found chick # 3 and chick #4 (not pictured) hatch. Happy Birthday to Lana and unnamed chick no. 4!

And here my four babies are, living life under the red heat lamp sun

We have one last egg, but... unlikely to hatch. And that's okay. I went to go and assist another chick bc I noticed the tissue going dark and realized I attempted the assist too late.
