I am fascinated by all the creativity here. Are you all paining full eggs, or do you blow them out? And how do you preserve them over time?

I blew my two eggs out.

I originally planned to present just one egg design which was the Frankenstein egg, but when I tried to blow the egg out, it cracked and a piece broke off. I took a look at the opening in that egg and my imagination saw a mouth with teeth, so it became my Biting Monster Egg with Eye.

My second attempt at blowing the egg out was successful, and that egg became my Frankenstein Egg.

I have not thought as far as long term preservation of my two eggs. I am quite happy to just have the photographic documentation of the designs. I actually do not know what to do with the two eggs now that this contest is over, lol.
Any ideas?

As long as they are blown out, then could you just find a small box and some cotton to put around them, or packing peanuts might work too. It'd be a shame not to save them for decorations next year!
