BYC's 2025 Spooktacular Halloween Hatch-Along

If you can wait until I get back to the home state later this week, I'll candle one of Black Sunday White's eggs and let you know. Guaranteed not infested with rooster ejaculate.:lau

Do you have any way to incubate it for a few days? 99.5 degrees . . . see if an air cell develops?

This is turning into a biology class. :lau
My eggs aren't washed unless it's on a day Sherry lays one of her messes and dirties BSW's beautiful offering. They sit on the kitchen counter at room temp. There were four older ones in the basket when I got home. Yes a couple had small air sacs in the round end . . . even without riding around inside my boulder holder.

Good to know, an aic cell doesn't mean it's been infested . . . now I know. Thanks :D

All eggs should have an air cell but it can be tiny and hard to see in a freshly laid egg. Leave an egg out at room temperature for a month (fertilised or not, doesn't matter unless your room temperature is warm enough for fertilised eggs to start to develop) and it'll be bigger because the egg loses some moisture through the shell over time.
