BYC's 2025 Spooktacular Halloween Hatch-Along

That's good news!

I might set more in the one I have, that's similar to yours, that I had issues with. The rest of the eggs are smaller so the hatch shouldn't be too staggered 🤔
Good luck, I think you're right that smaller eggs hatch faster, last time i hatched some 37 and 40 gram pullet eggs they both came out at 19 days.

The ones I just set are under 45g . . . the ones I set on Friday were over 50g.

It's possible the new eggs are from my bantams that just started laying, so could be infertile atm, but can't hurt to check them in . . . 8 more days :th

I'm pretty sure you should be able to see SOME development around days 3-4, especially if your eggs are brown/white. I made sure to set a lot of brown eggs this time not only because I like my brown egger breeds, but also because they're just so dang easy to candle unlike the FULLY OPAQUE blue eggs.

All mine are brown to cream colored and fairly easy to candle.

I don't know what I'm going to do when I get Marans . . .it'll make me bonkers not to be able see in the eggs.
