Still running, no hiccups so far . . . is it day 10 yet? I want to candle so bad

I am dying to candle!! We are struggling a tiny bit with finding the just right spot with humidity so I definitely don’t want to mess with it yet but I’m excited!

Wow, I was wondering why nobody's posting about eggs and stuff.

I’m here sometimes haha. My house has been pretty chaotic lately so not on as much as I’d like but I’m here and I like to yap too!

I see some veins on eggs 4 and 6! I'm only doing the lighter eggs when I candle now until at least day 7, 14 and 18 when I'll candle all the eggs.

Both are speckled Sussex eggs. I have never seen my rooster mating with her somehow lol.

That’s hilarious. Hoping I have the same luck with my Wyandotte egg!

I put my remaining broody hens in the pen to break them to remove the temptation to slip some eggs under them.

This is what I was concerned about with this incubator. The eggs in the front are turned sideways and probably not getting rotated.

I moved them to the back of the incubator and put two eggs on each row, rather than in a line. It should work better this way since it'll take longer for them to bunch up.

My light bulb is going out and started flickering. I used my candling light for a quick pick before running to work.
