My light bulb is going out and started flickering. I used my candling light for a quick pick before running to work.

Ha! No, these are far harder to find then Marans where I am. The darker eggs are Penedesencas. BUT I set those a while ago. They should hatch the end of the week.

For this hatch, I have an experiment Silverudd's blue x easter egger that lays peachy eggs. This egg is speckled, so I couldn't resist. I also have a couple wesummer and an orpington cross.

Where do you live? There seems to be marans all over in SoCal.

Both are speckled Sussex eggs. I have never seen my rooster mating with her somehow lol.

I have a hen I want my rooster to mate with, be doesn't give her a second glance. So annoying...

Nope. Not interested at all. He is more interested in conquering my Ameraucana. WHICH, I also want. She is having none of it.
