If you can wait until I get back to the home state later this week, I'll candle one of Black Sunday White's eggs and let you know. Guaranteed not infested with rooster ejaculate.![]()

Well, you'd have to incubate it for a a day or two before seeing air cell development. If you can wait until I get back to the home state later this week, I'll candle one of Black Sunday White's eggs and let you know. Guaranteed not infested with rooster ejaculate.![]()
I'll do like this one woman I once knew whose incubator stopped working in the winter. She put the few eggs she had inside her brassiere under and between her ample breasts and wore a sweater for extra insulation while her honey made the few hour trip to town and back with a new incubator and various other essentials.Well, you'd have to incubate it for a a day or two before seeing air cell development.

She had a good hatch.

I can't say I wouldn't, so . . .
I wasn't sure which reaction to use. Yay, so glad they arrived! Immediately followed by Yikes! That's a big 'ole crackGot my eggs in today. Several were broken, just absolutely smashed. Most made it just fine though. I do have this Svarthona egg that is cracked, but the membrane is intact. I think I'm going to try incubating it.

I would definitely candle the cracked one more often, IMHO, you wouldn't want it to rot and ruin the rest of the hatch. With that turner, do the eggs completely rotate? I'd be concerned it might crack more if it came out of the 'cradle'.Got my eggs in today. Several were broken, just absolutely smashed. Most made it just fine though. I'd worry anything liquid might get in the egg. What about a bit of cellophane/saran wrap, pulled tight with the edges glued on with the skin glue?Nope, it rocks side to side. I probably wouldn't risk it in a roller incubator. Definitely plan on keeping a close eye on it. Thinking about putting some skin glue on there to help hold it together
